Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Crane Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Wolter, Inc. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing cranes and hoists on customer premises, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electrical troubleshooting to determine the cause of equipment malfunction.
  • Update and maintain customer bearings and mechanical gearbox systems.
  • Consult with customers regarding repair and safety-related issues, and discuss recommendations to improve their material handling needs.
  • Attend service training classes to maintain knowledge on new products and refreshers on products not encountered frequently.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on, including time cards and maintenance reports with customer signatures.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and/or service offices regarding job status and availability for new jobs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with territory sales representatives to keep them informed of sales opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills, with some electronic experience preferred but not required.
  • Must successfully complete any required training courses.
  • Strong customer orientation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, with basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals.
  • Comfortable working in elevated locations, with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be certified to operate material handling equipment and commit to company vision and mission.
