Role Responsibilities

As a Shift Leader, you will oversee Team Members in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. You will coach, guide, and recognize exemplary performance while setting priorities for Team Members during their shifts. Your role includes training Team Members on policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to food safety, security, quality, and cleanliness standards. You will also be responsible for opening and/or closing the restaurant, creating outstanding guest experiences, and contributing to the achievement of financial goals.

  • Work Hours: Full-Time hours, with potential for overtime.

  • Dress Code: EPL logo'd shirt provided; black pants or jeans and non-slip shoes required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Must be an EPL Crew Member certified on all EPL SPECS positions or possess 1 or more years of supervisory experience in a restaurant setting.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. Must pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class upon hire.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills preferred (second language is a plus). Ability to effectively communicate with external customers is essential.
  • Competencies: Basic math, computer skills, and customer service skills are required.
  • Food Safety Certification: Must have a ServSafe Certificate at the time of hire or obtain one where applicable.
  • Physical Requirements: A Shift Leader regularly stands, talks, hears, uses close and distant vision, tastes, or smells, and repetitively uses their hands to reach, handle, feel, and grasp objects. The position may occasionally require stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting objects up to 40 lbs.
