Position Overview

Tact Staff is currently seeking a skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Neuro ICU for an exciting opportunity.

Job Details

Qualifications

Applicants should possess at least 9 months of travel experience in a critical care setting. Key requirements include:

  • Ability to float to stepdown units
  • 1:4 patient ratio
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; CRRT is highly preferred
  • Competency in assessment tools for stroke signs/symptoms (e.g., BE-FAST)
  • NIHSS certification must be current and on file
  • Experience in a certified stroke center critical care unit is preferred
  • Familiarity with current stroke guidelines and performance measures for acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
  • Competency in IV-tPA administration and post-tPA monitoring
  • State licensure: KY/Compact must be in hand
  • Charting experience with Meditech is preferred but not required
