About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Citywide Health Corporation. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals in a one-on-one or group setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and drug screenings to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide drug and alcohol counseling and support to individuals, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals to appropriate levels of care.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client records, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain open communication with facility staff, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling, preferably with a focus on addiction treatment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • Proficient knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
