Executive Producer/Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Producer/Operations Manager to join our team at Skillsearch. As a key member of our emerging unannounced games studio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the studio's evolution and contributing to the success of our projects.

The Role:

As the first hire of the studio, you will work closely with the Founder to establish a strong foundation for the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining Studio Culture: Lead by example and create a sense of purpose and community among team members.
  • Team Building: Collaborate with the Founder to build the internal team, participate in the interview process, and provide detailed feedback.
  • Budget Strategy: Develop and implement a budget strategy, ensuring creative vision is realized, deliverables are met, and budget is balanced.
  • Project Management: Lead a team of developers across all disciplines through a project from concept to launch and beyond.
  • Long-term Vision: Work with the Founder to establish the long-term vision and direction of the game IP for the studio, maintain project plans, schedules, and roadmaps, and ensure the team is on track with their goals.
  • Competitive Landscape: Understand the competitive landscape and define clear strategies for how the product can succeed.

Requirements:

  • Deep Understanding: Possess a deep understanding of video game development, software development processes, and project management practices.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role, managing across various disciplines.
  • Industry Expertise: High proficiency in Operations and/or Production within the gaming industry, having worked on at least one shipped console title.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Employee Type: Full Time Permanent

Location: Los Angeles, CA (with initial flexibility)

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
