The Role: General Utility

We're seeking a General Utility professional to join our kitchen team. As a member of this team, you'll have the opportunity to learn various roles within the kitchen and contribute to maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Scrape and pre-rinse food from dirty dishes and load them into the dishwashing machine (approximately 50% of the time).
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand or using a machine (about 15% of the time).
  • Complete assigned prep work tasks (around 10% of the time).
  • Remove trash and garbage to the designated dumpster area (about 10% of the time).
  • Wash work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment, and floors (around 5% of the time).
  • Clean garbage cans and trash receptacles (about 5% of the time).
  • Assemble, maintain, and break down the dish machine (about 5% of the time).

Key Qualifications:

  • A genuine desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift cases up to 50 pounds and move them up to 20 times per day.
  • Capacity to place items on both high and low shelves.
  • Work in an indoor environment (90%) and occasionally outdoors (10%).
  • Frequently work in hot and damp conditions.
  • Respond promptly in emergency situations to ensure safety for yourself and others.

Salary Range: $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
