**Position Overview:**

Zona Facta Collective is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and concerns. Your main responsibilities will include managing the accurate entry of employee work hours, processing payroll on time, and addressing any discrepancies. You'll ensure that payroll records are accurate and up to date, handle employee payroll questions, and collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll runs smoothly. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with staff members.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Employee Support:** Act as the main contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions, deductions, and payment issues.
  • **Data Entry:** Accurately enter employee hours, pay rates, and other necessary information into payroll systems.
  • **Payroll Processing:** Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including direct deposits and paycheck distributions.
  • **Record Maintenance:** Maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring updates for tax forms, garnishments, and benefits.
  • **Issue Resolution:** Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors, working closely with employees and relevant departments.
  • **Collaboration:** Work with HR and Accounting teams to ensure all payroll activities comply with company policies and regulations.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in payroll or accounting
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and payroll software preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
