Patient Care Specialist

The Patient Server is a vital member of the Nutritional Services team at Grand River Health. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to take patient orders, deliver food and beverages, and provide excellent service to patients and guests.
Responsibilities:
Stock patient and guest waiting areas with appropriate items and prepare patient food.
Greet and serve customers in the café, including employees, patients, and visitors.
Answer phone calls, receive meal orders from patients and nursing staff, and inform customers about services available.
Provide suggestions to customers when asked and assist with meal preparation duties as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
Check material and supply stock levels and report when stock is low.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must obtain Food Handler Certification from an ANSI accredited program within one month of hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
Two years of previous professional experience in a related position preferred.
Two years of experience in customer service position preferred.
Salary Information:
$21.00 per hour, dependent on experience. 10% PRN differential. Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
