We are a locally owned garden center in downtown Pflugerville, specializing in Texas native and adapted plants with an emphasis on organic gardening methods. Our customers come to us for friendly, helpful advice and for our amazing plant selection.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Garden Center Associate, you will be working indoors and outdoors as needed. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Customer Service - Greet customers with a friendly smile and provide excellent customer service skills.
- Cashier Duties - Restock merchandise, clean store areas, and handle cash transactions.
- Plant Care - Check plants for watering needs, water and fertilize plants as instructed.
- Inventory Management - Unload new inventory from trucks, label and put plants out for sale.
- Assisting Customers - Help customers find plants and load their items into their vehicles.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of Texas Native Plants - Familiarity with Texas native plants and perennials for central Texas is highly desirable.
- Retail or Food Service Experience - Previous experience in retail or food service is preferred.
- Physical Demands - Ability to stand on your feet throughout your shift, as this job can be fast-paced.
- Team Player - Willingness to learn and follow instructions, and work in a team environment.
- Adaptability - Ability to work in various Texas weather conditions, as we are open year-round.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.50 and have available shifts all days of the week. If you are a motivated and trustworthy individual who is passionate about plants and customer service, we encourage you to apply.
