The Nuclear Pharmacy Technician is a vital member of the Cardinal Health team, responsible for assisting pharmacists and technicians in pharmacy operations and customer interactions. This role involves learning and performing various tasks, including cleaning, inventory management, and quality checks, to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists and technicians in preparing prescriptions, drawing doses, and packaging radiopharmaceuticals
- Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals
- Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals
- Maintain computer inventory and records
- Assist in labeling blood cell products and performing general laboratory and facility clean-up
- May perform clerical and administrative services, including maintenance of daily records and preparation of receipts
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience
- MD State Pharmacy technician license required
- Certification may be required
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Manual dexterity required for occasional reach, lifting, and holding of small objects
- Ability to lift containers weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must hold a valid driver's license in the state in which the pharmacy is located
