Surgical Orthopedic Nurse Team Lead

Del Sol Medical Center, a full-service acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas, has an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Orthopedic Nurse Team Lead. We are seeking a skilled and experienced nurse to join our team of dedicated professionals who share our commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
About the RoleThis is a leadership position that requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team. As a Surgical Orthopedic Nurse Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing staff performance, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced nurse who possesses:
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
- A minimum of two years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, preferably in an orthopedic unit.
- Leadership experience, including staff management and performance evaluation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.
