Job SummaryWe are seeking a Production Millwright to join our team at Crown Beverage Packaging, Conroe Plant #016. As a Production Millwright, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, maintaining, and installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical production-related equipment within our high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all local, state, and federal electrical codes
- Document problems and maintenance of equipment and facility systems
- Provide training for equipment operation and safety precautions
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary
- Support and educate users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or provide information on product use
- Significant experience in operating production machines
- Related work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may be substituted for the required work experience
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift, including night shift and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Three (3) plus years of experience in industrial maintenance
- High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
- Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
- Mathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations
- Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to climb or balance and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Working with high-speed automated machines and equipment in a manufacturing plant producing aluminum cans for the beverage industry
- Plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year
- Constant pressure to produce high-quality cans and keep the production line operating
