We are currently in search of a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to enhance our team in Decatur, AL. Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate production timelines, specifications, and orders to comprehend manufacturing techniques and operations.
  • Design and refine production workflows for optimal efficiency and minimized waste.
  • Formulate and apply quality assurance protocols to enhance product dependability and reduce expenses.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to set production and design benchmarks.
  • Spearhead the specification of tools and machinery, ensuring successful product introductions.
  • Enhance work center and factory layouts for better line balancing and workforce efficiency.
  • Review engineering documentation to confirm adherence to design for manufacturing (DFM) standards.
  • Generate standard time data for labor tasks and suggest design modifications to decrease manufacturing costs and improve quality.
  • Coordinate cost-reduction initiatives and engage in New Product Development (NPD) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to guarantee successful product launches.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship or ITAR compliance required.
  • Master's in Industrial Engineering (MSIE), Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering (BSIE), or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 12+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial engineering.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in automotive and vehicle production assembly preferred.
  • Proven leadership in project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a history of leading improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma).
