Job Overview:

The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding company assets by implementing effective shortage control measures and programs. This position involves various responsibilities during different shifts and locations within the distribution center and general office, adhering to company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough safety, security, and procedural incident investigations and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with essential company standards regarding physical security, safety, and facility maintenance.
  • Document and report any issues related to fire safety, OSHA compliance, company policies, and dishonest activities.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with all associates across the organization.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of security equipment, including CCTV systems.
  • Perform semi-routine tasks requiring sound judgment, following established procedures.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess prior experience in private security or law enforcement. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Essential skills include:

  • Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Average proficiency in reading, mathematics, and computer skills.
  • Organizational skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of basic OSHA regulations, CPR/AED, and First Aid is preferred.
  • Experience in physical security within a distribution center setting is advantageous.

Flexibility in work schedule and the ability to work in various weather conditions are necessary. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity to maintain positive working relationships within their department and exercise good judgment in recognizing their scope of authority.

Physical requirements include the ability to perform sustained physical activities, such as walking, driving, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Compensation:
