Job Summary:
The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Patient Care: The Registered Professional Nurse will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide direct care to patients in accordance with established guidelines.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: The nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Maintain Accurate Records: The nurse will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: The nurse will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
- Certifications: Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support. Other required cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NALS, PALS, etc.) are unit-specific.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN Degree: Preferred.
- National Certification: In a clinical specialty preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficient use of Horizon Clinicals Applications and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
