We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compounder to join our team at Givaudan. As a Compounder, you will be responsible for blending ingredients according to formulas provided, ensuring the highest quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities:- Mixes materials according to formulas using heating and chilling methods.
- Checks materials to ensure color, odor, and other characteristics are exhibited in accordance with customer requirements.
- Processes, filters, and samples material as needed.
- Works in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and internal safety guidelines and training.
- Maintains neat, orderly, and clean shop floor and workplace at all times.
- Reports any issues or problems to management.
- Maintains accurate records of all work functions performed.
- Logs information as required on daily work sheets.
- Takes inventory of material and makes or reports corrections as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2-4 years related experience in production environment.
- Product knowledge including color and odor is preferred.
- Familiarity with computer functions/menus and automated systems is required.
- Trained and knowledgeable in dispensing or batch-processing manufacturing, bar coding, automated dosing systems, and forklift operation.
- Basic knowledge of interrelationship between room operations and Bioton, WWTP, and Tank Farms is preferred.
Exposure to hot and cold environments, weather, fumes, dust, and gases are frequent. May be required to wear respirator for chemical exposure.
Physical Demands/Dexterity:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and manipulate, push/pull, and roll containers that weigh up to 500 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and crouching is required.
Equipment Used:May be required to wear respirator or use forklift as directed. Various automated compounding equipment.
Responsibility for Work of Others:No direct supervisory responsibilities, however, must be a team player. Reporting of observation of non-compliance or unsafe situations to supervisor or safety manager required.
