Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert immunization services to patients, including administering vaccines and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless patient care and optimal health outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest immunization guidelines and recommendations from reputable sources, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote immunization services and increase patient engagement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures related to immunization services.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in immunization services.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization (e.g., American Pharmacists Association (APhA)).
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
