Job Summary

As an Expeditor at Hannaford Supermarkets, you will be the customer service liaison of the Hannaford To Go department. You will be the voice the customer hears on the phone and the face they see at pickup, a true representative of Hannaford. Your role ensures that customers have a positive experience through accurate and fast orders that contain the highest quality fresh items from our shelves.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize shop and pickup processes to ensure smooth and quick customer experiences.
• Conduct order reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of products.
• Check code dates and fresh product quality with a focus on produce to maintain high standards.
• Count parcels to ensure accuracy and stage orders for consolidation when necessary.
• Setup shopper carts and partner with department leaders to ensure items requiring preparation are handled properly.
• Dispense pickup and delivery orders car-side to customers and last-mile delivery drivers.
• Monitor and manage all last-mile delivery orders through applicable dashboards and Flybuy orders through the staff dashboard app.
• Answer phone calls to address customer questions and arrivals, adhering to order wait time and order completeness goals.
• Handle cash pickups and change orders as requested, logging as required.
• Verify all customer IDs presented and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of checks and the sale of age-restricted items.

Requirements

• Effective communication and customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers.
• Ability to meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions (18 years of age).
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift.
• Ability to wear the shopping device, hands-free while shopping orders.
• Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
• Push or pull up to 75 pounds on occasion.
• Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
• Gather up to five shopping carts and push them to designated areas.
• Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
• Have sufficient visual acuity to read the handheld unit display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
