Job Title: Laboratory Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing lab-scale samples of adhesive and specialty polymers, conducting various polymer characterization tests, and recording lab activities and observations in a laboratory notebook.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lab-scale samples of adhesive and specialty polymers
  • Conduct a variety of polymer characterization tests
  • Record lab activities and observations in a laboratory notebook
  • Communicate test results to customer partners
  • Develop and modify existing test methods and/or equipment as needed
  • Work closely with support personnel to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all regulatory and safety requirements are met

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • One (1) combined year of laboratory, manufacturing and/or pilot plant experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science discipline
  • Five (5) years' experience handling chemicals and materials in a testing or laboratory environment
  • Experience with adhesive test methods
  • Intermediate computer knowledge
  • Strong technical and/or mechanical background
  • Self-starter with hands-on approach to problem solving

Maplewood, MN

Travel:

May include up to 5% domestic

The expected compensation range for this position is $73,090 - $89,333, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
