Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant

As a CNA, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Caring for patients' personal and hygiene needs in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals
  • Working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care
  • Assisting with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
  • Helping with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs, intake/output, and blood glucose levels
Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Minnesota
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of CNA experience in a medical facility
  • Be knowledgeable about state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
  • Exhibit a compassionate nature, good communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
