Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and effective treatment
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry developments and advancements
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives, promoting a positive and productive work environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Radiography certification and Dental Assistant certification must be current
  • At least two years of experience as an EFDA in a professional setting with direct patient contact
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Ability to complete composite fillings, make temporary crowns, and temporarily reline immediate dentures
  • Proficiency in taking precise x-rays and saving them to patient medical records
  • Demonstrated expertise in dental assisting procedures and treatments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with dental coding and documentation systems
  • Capacity to work with patients of all ages
  • Able to utilize loops for proper visual acuity when working within the oral cavity
  • Will learn and adapt to new office technologies as they are implemented

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
