We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company, Inc. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting building materials to customer sites while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and deliver merchandise to customer sites as required, ensuring proper securing and balancing of the truck for safe transport.
- Operate the truck according to Company driving standards, maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.
- Adhere to Federal and Company fleet maintenance standards, inspecting the vehicle daily and reporting any issues to management.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for delivery or pickup of merchandise, ensuring accurate documentation and customer satisfaction.
- Provide customer service at the site, collecting cash on delivery if required, and addressing client needs and questions as work schedule allows.
- A valid commercial driver's license of the appropriate type and class issued by the state of residence.
- A valid medical card, with a driver's record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to operate a forklift and knowledge of building materials products and lumber.
The work environment for this role will involve working near moving mechanical parts, in outside weather conditions, and in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
