Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to create images of internal structures.
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images, using proper positioning techniques and guidelines.
- Operate X-ray machines to take images of bones, organs, tissues, and other internal structures as requested by physicians.
- Adjust machine settings based on body part being imaged, patient size, and medical condition.
- Ensure images meet diagnostic standards for clarity and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients during procedures, providing instructions to ensure clear and accurate images.
- Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Technologist (RT).
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of radiation safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive salary range $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
