About the Role: We are seeking a talented Surgical Care Coordinator to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. In this critical role, you will be responsible for coordinating perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise in orthopedic nursing and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will make you an asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions between phases of perioperative nursing.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients undergoing surgery.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams regarding patient status and treatment plans.

Requirements:
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
