Patient Care Technician

Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and meeting the needs of families and significant others. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or other medical staff, this role performs various patient care duties, following the plan of care tailored to the patient's age and development stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and record patient data, including vital signs, and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL)
- Answer call lights and complete patient rounds
- Help with completing and maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharge
- Take care of patient personal hygiene and assist with patient clean-up
- Comply with Baylor Scott & White Health policies and procedures
Requirements
- Education: H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience
- Certification/License/Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS)
