Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic medical sonography and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Position patients for exams, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Obtain and record patient history, medical information, and examination results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) certification or registry eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
