About the Role

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and effective patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician within one year of hire date.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate: $22.00 - $31.75 per hour.
  • Full-time position with 80 hours every 2 weeks.
  • Evening/night shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday to Friday, with every 3rd weekend and holiday.
  • Sign-on bonus: $10,000 with a 2-year commitment.
  • Student Loan Repayment Program: up to $10,000 in loan repayment assistance.
