Role Overview

As a vital member of our security team, reporting directly to the Director of Security, your responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Deliver consistently professional, warm, and engaging service.
  • Ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and property.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team, addressing incidents such as fires, accidents, safety issues, and medical emergencies.
  • Investigate and report any breaches of law or hotel policy.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid and CPR as necessary.
  • Identify and report fire hazards or health and safety risks.
  • Document and investigate accidents, complaints, criminal activities, and crisis situations.
  • Conduct regular patrols, cash counts, and manage crowd control.
  • Perform departmental key control audits and maintain accurate key control records.
  • Keep detailed computer records of all activities in a Daily Activity Report.
  • Assist guests with inquiries about hotel amenities in a knowledgeable and helpful manner.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols diligently.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a security role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is required.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is mandatory.
  • A degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Professional presentation is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Highly responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a team.
  • Focus on guest needs while maintaining composure and courtesy at all times.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25.75 gross.

Physical Requirements

The role involves frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 lbs, and regular kneeling, pushing, pulling, and sitting. You may also need to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and ramps.
