Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform rounds in all engineering spaces and casino areas to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Assist the Assistant/Chief Engineer with repairs and routine maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, clearing plumbing blockages, and cleaning storage tanks and motors.
  • Assist with Electrical and Computer Cables: Assist with pulling new electrical and computer cables as needed.
  • Temperature Monitoring: Conduct regular temperature checks on engineering spaces and each deck.
  • Work Request Box: Check the work request box on the freeboard deck regularly and bring any contents to the officer on watch.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Inspect and repair restrooms as needed.
  • Storage Space Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized storage spaces, engine room, and auxiliary machinery room.
Requirements
  • Working Knowledge: Possess working knowledge of power or manual hand tools.
  • General Knowledge: Possess general knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work in a hot, enclosed environment with no fear of heights.
