Company Overview:
Nephron Nitrile is a privately-owned manufacturer specializing in Nitrile Gloves, proudly producing high-quality products in the USA. Our headquarters is located in West Columbia, South Carolina, where we utilize fully automated systems for manufacturing, packaging, and distribution, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability.
Role Summary:
The Packaging Technician will be responsible for monitoring and operating machinery across all packaging lines. This includes the ability to start and stop upstream and downstream equipment, as well as participating in changeovers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of the Secondary Packaging Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure the effective operation of all equipment within the department.
- Conduct machine challenges and in-process inspections.
- Monitor the performance of Secondary Packaging equipment, identifying trends such as vials per minute and pallets packaged per shift.
- Address minor equipment issues, including clearing jams and making adjustments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Secondary Packaging lines through regular cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Be trained to handle minor issues across all packaging lines.
- Understand and manage the autoclave process, as well as operate Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in electrical or mechanical roles is essential.
- Familiarity with power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and packaging equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a drug test.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires physical activities such as reaching, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing for extended periods. Personal protective equipment may be necessary.
Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on experience.
