PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
Engage in projects primarily for governmental entities, including the Department of Defense and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Federal-led initiatives encompass both hazardous waste and munitions site assessment and remediation efforts conducted under CERCLA, RCRA, and specific state regulations.

Oversee operation and maintenance (O&M) and long-term monitoring (LTM) to support existing remediation systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific field.

Examples include:
Geosciences (geology, geochemistry, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering)
3 to 7 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, remediation, or a similar domain.
Specific experience that will be acknowledged includes:
Field sampling of groundwater, soil, sediment, and air
Implementation and O&M of remediation systems (including pump and treat systems, leachate management, landfill flares, in-situ remediation, etc.)
Familiarity with mechanical systems and comfort in working with them
Preparation of reports in compliance with regulatory standards including RCRA, CERCLA, and UST Programs
General knowledge of Federal/State regulatory frameworks.

Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.

OTHER REQUIRED CRITERIA:
Completion of 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training/8-Hour Refresher training if necessary.
Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to pass a HAZWOPER medical examination and drug screening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with operation of remediation systems and LTM.
Familiarity with asbestos inspections and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of Federal and/or State Regulations.
Understanding of chemistry and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) related to environmental sample analyses.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or GIS Software.
Professional Registration or eligibility for Professional Registration, such as PG or CHMM.
