Job Summary
Region Three is seeking a highly skilled Special Education Instructional Facilitator to join our team. As an Instructional Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with special needs and providing instructional guidance to teachers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to teachers in implementing special education programs and services.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in the development and implementation of instructional materials and strategies to support students with special needs.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers in using data-driven instruction to inform their practice.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) or ability to acquire by time of appointment.
- Valid driver's license or state-issued identification card.
Benefits
- Pending district approval, a $1,000 retention bonus for licensed staff upon completion of the school year.
- $5,000 additional pay for special education teachers and $5,000 additional pay for teachers in Title I schools with 5% vacancies.
- Contract waiver for the school year that pays to extend the day by 19 minutes.
