Radiology Technologist Job Description

The Radiology Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong technical skillset, excellent organizational abilities, and exceptional customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various diagnostic radiographic images, including fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities.
  • Assist radiologists as needed, ensuring accurate and timely image acquisition.
  • Follow precise procedures for exposure, positioning, and safety of patients, maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.
  • Position patients according to radiologists' protocols, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
  • Transport and operate portable x-ray equipment, maintaining its proper functioning and safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to HIPAA standards and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Charge procedures and supplies used to patient records, ensuring accurate billing and revenue management.
  • Maintain required CE's for licensure, staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in radiology preferred; new graduates may be considered.
  • Valid NY State License.
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and customer service skills.
Education:

Graduate of an approved school of Radiology.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
