We are in search of a Lead Analyst to become a vital part of our Risk Mitigation team in Wilmington, DE.

This position is essential for steering business outcomes and providing strategic insights by spearheading and executing intricate projects and quantitative evaluations.


The successful candidate will adeptly manage a demanding array of priorities and achieve results in a fast-paced setting while representing the team in cross-departmental, enterprise initiatives.

Collaborating with various stakeholders, this role will also encompass responsibilities for reporting, ad-hoc evaluations, business performance presentations, and experimental design.


An ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in data evaluation, a passion for innovation, and the capability to leverage analytics to enhance customer satisfaction and OneMain's financial outcomes.

They will broaden their skill set and develop their business and industry knowledge, showcasing the ability to engage in complex processes or projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

This individual will also acquire insights to propose new solutions to existing challenges, generate valuable insights, and challenge conventional practices in consumer lending.

Key Responsibilities:


Utilize advanced data analytics tools, such as SAS, SQL, Python, or equivalent, to design, implement, and assess strategies and reporting in support of risk mitigation initiatives and investment choices.


Enhance operational models across various locations through A/B testing and statistical experimental design, optimizing and sequencing collections and recovery channels.

Provide recommendations for the development or modification of current strategies or processes and effectively communicate findings and suggestions to senior leadership.


Drive profitable business expansion by formulating strategy optimization frameworks.


Employ analytical frameworks and model algorithms to identify key drivers and predict customer behaviors based on different strategy treatments.


Design, propose, document, and execute collection strategies while independently monitoring the outcomes of these strategies.


Manage a blend of recurring and ad-hoc requests and priorities with minimal oversight.


Proactively identify and improve existing processes and reporting through automation, quality assurance, presentation, and insights.


Collaborate with and influence partners and stakeholders across IT, Finance, Strategy execution, and Operations.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Finance; a graduate degree is highly preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing advanced quantitative analytics techniques.


At least 2 years of practical experience with SAS, SQL, Python (or equivalent statistical tools) in support of quantitative analytics.


Experience collaborating across various organizations such as technology, marketing, and operations.


Innovative mindset with the ability to develop a highly analytical approach to problem-solving.


Prior knowledge or experience in Credit, Risk, Collections, or Marketing within personal loan or credit card portfolios is advantageous.


Exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities and thought leadership.
