Traveling Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Travel RN. As a Travel RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings and locations, providing high-quality patient care and developing your professional skills.
Job Summary:The Travel RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient. You will work closely with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Obtain a thorough medical history and assess the patient's physical and emotional status, level of competency, home environment, safety factors, family or household member's ability to assist with care, and the needs of the patient and what teaching will be required.
- Act as the patient's advocate by providing information on patient rights, grievance procedures, reimbursement procedures, and patient/family responsibilities.
- Participate in updating the interdisciplinary care plan every two weeks, including the means of implementing the correct interventions to attain goals.
- Supervise and direct the care given by the Hospice Aide/CNA and evaluate such care in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
- Observe signs, symptoms, and reactions to treatments, and inform the attending physician and/or Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) immediately of any changes.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities.
- Participate in on-call rotating schedule and provide back-up assistance as requested.
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
- Nursing experience required, with experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
- Must possess a sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and elements of patient family teaching.
