Job Description:
">- We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Distribution Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering food and related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Your primary responsibility will be to drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes.
- You will also be responsible for performing all required safety checks, including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Additionally, you will communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
">- Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer.
- Report any safety issues or repairs required.
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
- Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas.
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
- Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
- Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
Requirements:
">- A valid CDL-A License is required.
- 6+ months of experience driving tractor trailers is preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years is required.
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
