- Problem-Solving: Maintain an active role in problem identification and problem-solving based on current research and professional practice standards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Cost Control: Facilitate effective cost control measures, ensuring the efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
- Research: Participate in research activities, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in neuroscience care and applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Liaison: Serve as a liaison for patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Staff Development: Assume accountability for staff development programs and activities, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Continuing Education: Assume responsibility for maintaining own competency and continuing education in neuroscience specialty, staying current with best practices and emerging trends.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Experience working with the neuroscience service line and stroke patients.
- Licensure: Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and NIH Stroke Scale.
