We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Duke Health. As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to neonates and pediatric patients in our intensive care units.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer oxygen, aerosolized medication, and other respiratory therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures, including nasotracheal and artificial airway suctioning, CPR, and pulse oximetry monitoring.
  • Assure correct set-up, safety, and function of all equipment and supplies necessary for patient care.
  • Provide education to patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent).
  • North Carolina State Licensure or Provisional License, and Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and any other applicable certifications.
Work Environment:

Our Pediatric Respiratory Therapist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and effectively, and provide high-quality patient care.
