Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our team at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet each guest with a warm smile and create a positive atmosphere
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure room setup meets contracted specifications
  • Prepare rooms for events, adjusting lighting, sound, and temperature as needed
  • Set tables uniformly and creatively set up and break down buffets and special food service tables
  • Communicate effectively with Banquet Captains, Banquet Managers, and Banquet Chefs regarding special needs and concerns
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of A/V and meeting room equipment
  • Deliver exceptional dining experiences, fulfilling customer needs, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Previous waitstaff experience a plus
  • Knowledge of catering practices preferred

  • Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Maintains all current licenses and certifications
  • Familiar with all Hotel services and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately
