Position Summary: The Psychiatric APRN will directly report to the Associate Medical Director and is tasked with managing the daily psychiatric care of our clients. This role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ensuring timely follow-ups. The APRN is expected to represent the organization positively, both in personal conduct and professional demeanor, while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that values the contributions of all team members and clients.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Valid APRN Licensure and Certification in the relevant state, with adherence to current licensure requirements.
  • Proficient understanding of de-escalation techniques for potentially volatile situations.
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certification.
  • Proven experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Background in addiction treatment, mental health, and homelessness, or a willingness to gain insight into the systemic challenges faced by our clients.
  • X waiver and DEA license are required.

  • Ability to monitor health concerns and refer clients for specialized care as necessary.

  • Maintain non-judgmental documentation practices.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of client admission and ensure follow-ups are scheduled to meet compliance standards.
  • Assess client needs and ensure they are addressed to the best of our capabilities.
  • Facilitate debriefing sessions regarding situations, incidents, and client assessments to promote open communication.
  • Ensure critical information is consistently documented and communicated.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with leadership to enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
  • Report any adverse medication reactions to the appropriate authorities.
  • Discuss potential side effects of medications with clients.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ensure critical information is relayed to relevant team members.
  • Recent Criminal Record Check.
  • Non-judgmental approach to client care.
  • Participate in quality assurance audits and peer reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to provide psychiatric cross-coverage to other facilities as required.

All candidates must meet and maintain pre-employment requirements, including reference checks, applicable state and national background screenings, a 10-panel urine drug screen, DMV check, insurance verification (if applicable), and license/credential verifications.
