Speech-Language Pathologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for administering speech and language evaluations, tests, and examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients with various speech problems and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
  • Provide speech and language services to clients, monitoring disease progression and adjusting treatments accordingly.
  • Instruct clients in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises and provide consultation for clients working through speech and language treatment processes.
  • Ensure all speech and language-related standards, policies, protocols, and quality requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
