Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. This includes assisting with physical therapy treatments, conducting patient assessments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Physical Therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress assessments
  • Conduct patient assessments to identify areas of improvement and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement physical therapy directives, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions
  • Document patient care services and maintain accurate records
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and home exercises
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current state PTA licensure
  • Valid CPR certification
  • 6 months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
