Job Summary

Tanner Memorial Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams on patients, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of Sonography equipment, including ultrasound machines, transducers, and computer hardware/software.
  • Review patient medical history and physician instructions, preparing equipment and selecting appropriate settings.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and physicians, explaining procedures and results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Document abnormalities and anomalies, ensuring accurate and complete patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and degree in Sonography from an accredited school.
  • Three years of experience performing ultrasounds, with current ARDMS certification preferred.
  • Current CPR certification and regular attendance are essential functions of the job.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a combination of exam and laboratory rooms, with occasional work in operating rooms. They will be exposed to communicable diseases, biohazards, and other conditions related to clinic settings.

Mental and Physical Requirements

The Ultrasound Technologist will be required to stand for long periods, lift/turn disabled patients, and work primarily at diagnostic imaging machines involving standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching. Some stress related to dealing with anxious patients is expected.
