About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is available at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. As a Medical Director Assistant, you will oversee quality and safety initiatives, collaborate with hospital quality personnel, and develop projects to improve service excellence and patient experience.
Responsibilities- Oversee quality and safety initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with hospital quality personnel to drive improvement.
- Develop and implement projects to enhance patient experience and service excellence.
- Compare patient feedback survey results to national benchmarks.
- Respond to patient complaints in a timely manner.
- Track and trend patient complaints.
- Train and mentor providers in patient experience techniques.
- Coordinate with hospital-patient experience personnel.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Initiate process improvement and engage hospital project management resources.
- Coordinate workflows with nursing leadership and ancillary services.
- Coach underperformers and share best practices.
- Participate in the hospital-wide throughput committee.
- Create and champion clinical pathways.
- Develop relationships with inpatient and outpatient resources.
- Establish and manage an inventory of resources for patient transitions.
- Monitor site financial performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop expertise in budgeting, financial performance measures, and billing and reimbursement issues.
- Improve patient census and billing practice statistics.
- Maintain awareness and interactions with payers.
- Licensed physician with an M.D. or D.O. degree and completion of residency.
- Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital's medical staff.
- Physician Partnership status.
- Superior clinical skills and administrative experience.
- Interest in interpreting complex financial data and understanding of finance and accounting.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent relationship building and process improvement skills.
