As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and leading a team of nursing professionals.
Responsibilities- Perioperative Patient Care: Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care, develop individualized patient plans, and provide hand-off reports to other team members.
- Operational Management: Manage the surgical area, including operational and fiscal responsibilities, during your tour of duty.
- Clinical Resource: Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel, utilizing current literature, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Quality Improvement: Assist in the evaluation of current practice through quality and performance improvement activities.
- Radiation Safety: Maintain radiation safety at all times, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Licensure: Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
- Certifications: Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment.
