Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at St. David's Surgical Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and revise plans as needed.
  • Administer medications, complete treatments, and perform venipuncture, IV fluids, and IV medications as per hospital policy.
  • Provide patient and family education on care and treatments, and ensure accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Charge Nurse and on-coming shift.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and provide compassionate care to patients and families.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program and/or current enrollment in an Alternative Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.

St. David's Surgical Hospital is a destination surgical facility located in north Austin, Texas. Our hospital features 40 inpatient rooms, several operating suites, pre-op and PACU bays, and an intensive care unit (ICU). We specialize in orthopedic, neurological, bariatric, gynecological, and urological surgeries, as well as imaging and pharmacy services.
