Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.

  2. Pharmacy Operations:
    • Supervise the daily activities of the pharmacy, including inventory oversight and prescription management.
    • Establish and uphold standard operating procedures for pharmacy operations.
    • Manage the pharmacy's financial performance, including budgeting and cost management.
  3. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and oversee pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
    • Conduct performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  4. Compounding:
    • Perform non-sterile compounding in accordance with established standards.
    • Execute sterile compounding practices as per regulatory guidelines.
    • Ensure precise dispensing of medications while providing information on interactions and proper usage.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
    • Investigate and rectify any medication errors or discrepancies.
    • Ensure safe storage of medications and maintain accurate documentation.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
    • Promote health and wellness initiatives within the community.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Valid pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in a compounding environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
    • Familiarity with USP regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
