Job Title: Perioperative Nurse

Genesis Health System is seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse to join our team. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally-competent perioperative care for pediatric through aging adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop outcomes-based care plans for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Implement and evaluate care using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
  • Clean, package, and sterilize reusable patient care instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain sterilization equipment and documentation.
  • Function in one of four roles: circulating nurse, scrub nurse, PACU nurse, or sterile processing tech.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois.
  • ACLS, Basic Life Support, and PALS certifications.
  • Preferred: Baccalaureate in Nursing.
Working Conditions:

This role requires routine exposure to highly adverse environmental conditions, including physical hazards, health and safety risks, and undesirable characteristics in the environment. Personal risks require safety equipment or precautions to be followed closely.
