We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Onondaga Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility and ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Coordinate Nursing Staff: Lead and manage a team of nurses to ensure that our residents receive high-quality care and services.
- Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Mentor and Train Nursing Staff: Provide guidance and support to less experienced nurses to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Monitor and Evaluate Resident Care: Conduct regular reviews of resident records and quality of care to ensure that our residents are receiving the best possible care.
- Communicate with Residents and Families: Respond to questions and concerns from residents and their families in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Represent the Facility: Serve as a representative of Onondaga Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing and promote our facility's mission and values.
Requirements:
- Valid NYS RN License: Must hold a valid New York State Registered Nurse license.
- Long Term Care Experience: Preferably 2 years of experience in long-term care.
- Charge Nurse Experience: Preferably 1 year of experience as a charge nurse.
- Leadership Skills: Possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
