Merrill Family Sailing Center, a division of Cornell Athletics and Physical Education, offers an exciting opportunity for students to learn the art of sailing. As a Sailing Instructor, you will play a vital role in helping assist with PE sailing classes at Merrill Family Sailing Center.
Job Summary:This position is responsible for teaching students how to sail, assisting with sailing classes, and ensuring the overall success of the program. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of specific equipment or sports terminology, previous experience in athletic areas, and the ability to make decisions, supervise student employees, and work with large populations.
About the Role:- Purpose of the Position: Help assist with the PE sailing classes at Merrill Family Sailing Center.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Teach students how to sail, assist with sailing classes, and maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
- Knowledge/Experience Required: Knowledge of specific equipment or sports terminology, previous experience in athletic areas, ability to make decisions, supervise student employees, and work with large populations.
- Knowledge of Basic First Aid: Including CPR and/or Water Safety Instructor certification.
